WASHINGTON, D.C.— U.S. Representative Austin Scott (GA-08) joined Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock (D-GA), Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA), and Representative Sanford Bishop (GA-02) in sending a letter to U.S. Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr. following up on the four new missions for Robins Air Force Base announced in May of 2021.

"Robins Air Force Base is a vital installation to our national defense, and I am thankful that the Georgia delegation is united in support of the new missions at the base," Rep. Scott said. "Robins is ready for the new missions, and I am confident that the Air Force will honor their past commitments.”

The letter requests that the Air Force provide a detailed implementation plan for these new missions and documentation to confirm that the new missions will fully account for the personnel currently supporting the JSTARS mission.

The letter also asks for a draft of manning/personnel documents demonstrating the use of all current Active Duty and Georgia Air National Guard personnel in incoming missions, the projected timeline/lifespan of the E-11 BACN mission, and for the commitment that Robins AFB will be the host of ABMS as well as a description of the projected ABMS-associated systems, detailing which have flying platforms.
