Congressman Austin Scott (R-GA-08), a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) joined Fox Business’ The Evening Edit to discuss the situation in Afghanistan and an outlook for Al Qaeda’s growth in the country and increased threat to the United States.

Yesterday, Rep. Scott joined HASC Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-AL-03) in pressing President Biden on a plan for Afghanistan. In their letter, the Members wrote, “For months, we have been asking you for a plan on your withdrawal from Afghanistan. You failed to provide us with one and based on the horrific events currently unfolding in Afghanistan, we are confident that we never received your plan because you never had one.”

On Sunday, Rep. Scott called on Speaker Nancy Pelosi to bring Congress back into session to begin classified briefings on what happened in Afghanistan and the current status on the ground.
