*ICYMI* 2nd Highest Ranking Air Force General Affirms Commitment to At Least Three Depots
October 30, 2011Washington D.C. – In an Hearing of the House Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Readiness, U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) asked the Air Force’s Vice Chief of Staff, General Philip M. Rep. Scott: “The men and women in our area are very grateful for the commitment of the three depot strategy and I just want to again ask that question and make sure that that is a commitment from the Air Force to maintain those three depots?
Gen. Breedlove: “Congressman, thank you and we do have a commitment to the three depots – we think that’s the minimum…the depots, as you know, bring a capability to all our services that is unmatched around the world. [They] make sure that our services, our Air Force and the airplanes that they fly are ready to do the mission and our commitment is strong there.
