WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rep. Austin Scott (GA-08) released the following statement in response to the House of Representatives passing legislation to fund the federal government for the rest of fiscal year 2018:

“This bill delivers to our men and women in uniform the largest pay raise in eight years while strengthening our national security capabilities, enhancing border security, combating the opioid epidemic, dedicating resources for rural broadband infrastructure, and addressing mental health, safety training, and school safety measures through programs at DOJ, Dept. of Education, and HHS,” said Rep. Scott. “While this bill is certainly not perfect, it does deliver meaningful priorities of the Trump Administration and Congress to address some of the biggest issues facing our country today.”
