Rep. Austin Scott Named ‘Hero of Main Street’
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) was recognized as a “Hero of Main Street” by the National Retail Federation (NRF) for his pro-small business voting record and his support of policies that help local retailers and entrepreneurs create jobs in their communities.
Rep. Scott receives the NRF ‘Hero of Main Street’ award.
“As a small business owner for nearly twenty years, I am very proud to fight for the men and women in our communities who support our local economies through entrepreneurship,” said Rep. Scott. “I am honored to receive the ‘Hero of Main Street’ award, and I look forward to continuing to advance policies that help our nation’s job creators.”
“Retailers and consumers are feeling good about the state of the U.S. economy, and a big part of that is the result of lawmakers who have made economic growth and job creation a top priority,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said. “As a ‘Hero of Main Street,’ Rep. Austin Scott truly understands that the decisions made in Washington have a real impact on local businesses and communities across the country.”
The National Retail Federation is the world’s largest retail trade association.
