2012 Farm Tour Reaches Entire 8th District

Warner Robins, GA – U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) embarked on a two day Farm Tour on Wednesday that took him to eleven farms spanning the entire 8th Congressional District of Georgia.  Rep. Scott heard thoughts and concerns from dozens of local farmers.  The conversations centered around the still pending Farm Bill legislation and concerns about too much government regulation. Rep. Scott was joined by several members of his Agriculture Advisory Board,  as well as Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture, Gary Black, for several stops of the tour.

The tour kicked-off at Sparkman’s Cream Valley in Moultrie, GA where they asked the Congressman to pass on the message to, “please support not only dairy farming but all agriculture based communities.”  Pictures from the Congressman’s visit to Sparkman’s as well as other South Georgia farms are included below along with the Farm Tour itinerary.
