...Meanwhile, Scott votes in favor of Republican “Cut, Cap & Balance” Plan:

Washington D.C. – U.S. Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) and twenty-two of his Freshman Republican colleagues went to the White House today to deliver yet another letter to President Obama.  This letter again asks the president to provide a plan for our nation’s debt situation.

Just hours later, Rep. Scott voted in favor of H.R. 2560, the Republican “Cut, Cap & Balance Act” that passed the House by a vote of 234 to 190.  Rep. Scott is an original co-sponsor of the bill which is just one of the plans that Republicans have put forth while they continue to wait for the President to present his plan.

“We are approaching a real crisis because we don’t have a leader in the White House who has the guts to come forward and present a proposal.  We’ve done that.  We did it with the budget that we passed in the House.  We’re going to do it again with ‘Cut,Cap & Balance.’”
